The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a significant increase in the daily duty allowance for Provincial Armed Guards (PRD) personnel, raising it from 500 rupees to 600 rupees per day. This increase was made by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at a conference in Gorakhpur, marking the fourth increase in the allowance during his tenure.
In addition to the allowance increase, the government has also announced free medical treatment up to 5 lakh rupees annually for PRD personnel and their families. This initiative aims to improve the health and well-being of the armed guards and their dependents, reflecting the government's commitment to their welfare.
The announcement was made at a PRD personnel conference held in Gorakhpur, where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also launched the 'Mukhyamantri PRD Cashless Chikitsa Yojana', a cashless medical facility program for PRD personnel. This program will provide free medical treatment up to 5 lakh rupees annually to PRD personnel and their families, enhancing their healthcare access and quality.
